Business Owner/Broker
Mark is the owner of The Sievers Company LLC which focuses on business brokerage, business-development consulting and commercial real estate. He is a former chain-restaurant executive, with Jerrico, Long John Silver’s, Yorkshire Global Restaurants and YUM! Brands. He also is a freelance writer on restaurant and food/beverage issues for three Kentucky publications and is a member of the International Food Wine and Travel Writers Association. He is a founding member of the Limestone M&A Alliance and a member of the Kentucky Association for Economic Development. Mark holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky and an M.B.A. in Finance from Xavier University. He has served on the boards of the Kentucky Restaurant Association, Bluegrass Tomorrow and the Lexington Youth Lacrosse Association.
Event Manager
Mae is a recent graduate of Northern Kentucky University, studying sports business and the effect of sport in society. She has enormous experience for her age, planning and running fundraising and social networking events as well as speaking in public about the efforts of the Kentucky Children's Health and Fitness Fund, of which she is a founding board member. She works managing “cause marketing” events.
Manager, Coach, Tottenham Hotspur
One of the world's highest ranking soccer coaches and an English native, Chris is a founding board member of the Kentucky Children's Health and Fitness Fund, among his many social improvement causes. He is the Assistant Academy Manager and Head of Player Development for the Tottenham Hotspur, one of England's top professional soccer teams. He was recently honored by England's House of Lords for his efforts to defeat racism.
Attorney, Stites & Harbison
David is a member of Kentucky’s premier law firm, Stites & Harbison, where he is one of 16 Registered Patent Attorneys. He has been with the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group since its inception. He holds an advanced engineering degree and a law degree from the University of Louisville. David has extensive experience prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications covering a wide range of subject matter, including consumer goods, mechanical devices, software and business methods. He also counsels clients on trademark and copyright issues, and he regularly negotiates and prepares licensing agreements and other contracts implicating intellectual property rights.
Educator
Carmen, a native of Puerto Rico, is a founding board member of the Kentucky Children's Health and Fitness Fund. She is a Spanish language specialist and writes the high school Spanish Advanced Placement test for the U.S. Department of Education each year. She has received numerous grants and awards for her original programming for Spanish-speaking elementary students. Carmen assists the Fund in ensuring that all of our programming and educational efforts reach children who speak English as a second language.
Kentucky Children’s Health and Fitness Fund has spent two years developing a nationally unique, multi-media, multi-lingual communication project to teach wellness to very young children and their families, based on best practices from dozens of experts around the world.
