The Children at Play Conference explores the value of free play in nature in order to increase our collective capacity to understand, promote, design and champion best practices in outdoor play environments that connect children with nature.

The annual Children At Play Conferences are the only conferences held nationally to:

• explore the value of free play in nature
• to increase our collective capacity to understand, promote, design and champion best practices in outdoor play environments that connect children with nature
• encourage free play for children in nature and provide opportunities for children to experience and appreciate nature

The conference is produced annually by The Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest and the Kentucky Children’s Health and Fitness Fund.
